Extra K for BASIC programming
Appleworks for larger documents
ProDOS for use as a RAM drive
Copy II+ for less disk swapping

The utility disk has some patches and utilities to utilize the card as
well as a test program to verify the memory is working properly.

Lots of 'newer' software will automatically support the extra memory for
what they do.  Most older stuff will not because they had no need to.
