According to the Luis Cornelio Clairemont High A2 lab web page, Big Text
Machine is good software for this.

A quick internet search reveals that this is "commercial Apple II
educational software developed by Balloons Software. Balloons Software
was founded in 1990 to help create and distribute affordable educational
software."
