I wish you good luck too.....
 
PC's and Mac's are nowadays quite similar: they both have GUI's, they
both have USB, Firewire, they both use IDE harddisks with SCSI as an
option, they can read each others floppy disks .... etc etc etc.  15
or so years ago they really were two different worlds - but not
anymore!  As you said above: times have changed.
