I just may. Problem is I ain't that skilled as a programmer, but I may
try anyway just to give folks something to be amused at ... ;-)

Hmmmm... There was that apple II on card that quadram made... and the
copy II option board...  Did the one you are thinking of actually allow
ya to plug in a real apple 3.5 drive? Who made it?

Sometimes I wanna run apple II era stuff! I can do it on my real iigs. I
can put a real grappler attached to a real epson mx-80 in my real
iigs... I wanna make the emulator MORE like the real thing!

Perhaps. I am thinking of dragging my IIGS in to work to see if it can
see the AFP servivces on our win2k box - i'd need one of those ethertalk
to localtal bridges, tho. But I think it'd work.

Well c'mon now, Steve? What's the use of running an emulator at all?
Nostalgia, fun....I know I wanna know what a rom 4 system was like to
run - what differences, etc.

That's why the post is titled "in my dreams". Never seen either card. Is
ther mostly custom LSI on both? Custom chips no longer produced?  I
don't get why someone can't just copy the silkscreens and drop the IC's
on a board, unless:
a) someone will actually still enforce the copyrights/patents on the
designs(!?!?!) 
or 
B) they both use custom IC that are now impossible to get.
