Re: IIe Display problem (add'l info)

    Thanks for your insight.  It's a moot point right now anyway.  I
guessed it was a chip and I tried to pry one of them off the motherboard.  
Well, I did a poor job of it and the some of the connectors were snapped
off.  Oops.

    So now I have a bootable IIe that won't display a thing.  Oh well, not
too thrilled about it, but my IIe was not exactly in great shape
anyway.  For a few years it wouldn't boot at all and the only way to get
it to boot was to like the IIe off the table a few inches and let it
"bounce" and then it would boot.  I probably screwed the circuitry or
chips a bit that way.  

    At this point, my IIe has officially become a collector's item.  I'll
keep it around and hope it boots when I am 60 so I can show my grand kids
how a real computer worked.  :)  Now I have to think about how much I
really want to run my II programs.  I may be in a market for a used IIe.
