I don't know where you can locate the docs at present. It's one of the
manuals I'll be converting to pdf and posting on my website but I likely
won't have that one up until after Christmas. I'll be scanning it before
then so if you don't find anything better I could email you the scans if
you want.
A few programs will automatically use the Z-RAM card. Other than
that most people use it for a RAMdisk. It originally came with
RAMdisk software. A RAMdisk makes the IIc pretty speedy,
especially in programs that do a lot of disk accessing.

It'll take either 64k X 1 or 256K X 1 DIP RAM 200ns or faster

Replace the 65C02 with a 65C816 and you'll have the 16 bit option.

I believe only a couple of programs used the 16 bit option.  Merlin 16
and VIP Professional. I think most of the people that went for the 16
bit option were programmers that wanted to learn about the 65816
before the IIgs was out.
