That's a good point, Bart. I just tried that out, and it works well.
I used the installer on my system disks to install the networking software
to my IIgs's hard disk, and also installed the filesharing software on my
SE/30 running System 7.1, using the 7.1 installer disks. Then I connected
the two printer ports with a printer cable and set up the Appletalk software
on each computer. I then archived the contents of my IIgs hard disk to the
Mac's hard disk.
So it's worth repeating, you only need AppleShare 2 or 3 if you want to boot
your Apple II off of the Mac's hard disk.
