Identify this game?

There was a rectangular battlefield with an opponent at each end,
landscape
orientation. You could play against the machine or with two people, each
with a joystick. You were very much the overall commander, creating new
units and then just setting them moving and firing automatically. I
think you slowly acquired energy with which to create new units. All
units moved slowly except the missile. Units if blocked would retain the
previous order, so that if the blocking unit was destroyed the movement
would resume. We used this effect to build great walls of bunkers
and shooters which would automatically repair themselves if they were
breached.

>From what I remember there were at least 4 types of units: bunkers,
shooters, commanders and missiles. The bunkers were a five sided solid
figure shaped like a small triangle joined to a small rectangle and
every
time they were shot they were damaged slightly. I think they could take
5-10
shots before they were destroyed. The shooters automatically shot any
enemy
unit in range. They could only take 1 shot before being destroyed. The
commanders sole purpose was to command all units in I think about a 3x3
square centred on the commander. They were also destroyed on one short.
The
shooter was shaped the same way as the bunker except with an outline
instead
of solid. I think the shooter might have had a dot in the middle to
distinguish it from the commander which was otherwise the same. The
missile
was completely different and moved at high velocity and was
uncontrollable
with the joystick I had.

Can anyone identify?
