i think he is referring to the general newbie at the local goodwill wanting
to buy a cheap computer to get on the internet for and basically wants a
*normal* looking gui browser that is built into the system or easily
acquired (ie, netscape but not opera, icab, etc)  he is just saying that
telling a newbie at the local goodwill to just use lynx and use  character
based internet programs will just confuse the heck out them when they just
want to use IE like their next door neighbor's packard bell has.

he is not referring to the computer savvy person who gets a *hoot* out of
using character based internet programs (like me..LOL)...
