re: AppleCD SC Plus woes

Hi, Wayne...thanks for the note.

WS> Which make anf model of CD player do ypu have?

AppleCD SC Plus. According to Apple's spex on their web site, this thing'll work with a IIgs, although obviously, they reference their own SCSI card.

So, I'm wondering about the gent who wrote the comment about the RF.NEC driver for the FAQ, as what you're saying jibes with what the RamFast documentation appears to say. John Zielke has also sent me some drivers to try, and I may actually get to that soon.

WS> Have you tried going into the ramfast utility program and under

I run Ramfast.System, hit Apple-E for "Edit," and sure enough, there's the drive at ID6, listed as "SONY CD-ROM CDU-8002."

WS> the card sees your drive. If it does, click on the drive and see if

I don't appear to have an option to do that. If I highlight the drive and hit Enter, I get the Ramfast utilities to partition the drive (?!).

I'll file that for reference the next time I'm messing with a hard drive. Thanks again.
