Problem (of sorts) with //c

Hello all.

Last night I fired up my //c and a strange thing happened: instead of
booting there was a clicking sound from the internal power supply and
the power and disk drive lights blinked (all of them--internal 5.25, two
UniDisk 3.5s, and external //c 5.25). First I disconnected
everything--same problem. Then I thought that perhaps the PS went bad,
so first I tried another brick--no change--then opened up the //c and
replaced the internal module--no change.

After returning the original PS suddenly everything was fine. I put the
//c back together, and again the same problem. So again I took it apart,
thinking that maybe there was a short somewhere. But I couldn't see
anything untold.

Then, again, I powered it up and everything was fine. I put it back
together and it has been fine since.

Does anyone have an idea what could have caused this? I'm not satisfied
with the problem "solving" itself since it could just as easily happen
again. The //c has an 8MHz Zip Chip and a 1MB Apple memory card
installed. The Zip Chip was installed a few weeks ago if that might have
anything to do with it.

Thanks in advance.
