I'm not certain what you are insulating exactly, but for a professional
result I have used a sheet of ~0.5mm-1mm white polystyrene (not expanded
polystyrene) for replacing the insulater in the Apple 5.25 drives (under the
analogue board). These sheets should be available from model/hobby shops as
they are often used for moulding custom parts.

Alternatively look in a stationery shop for a plastic cover or divider of
suitable thickness.
