If you have a 3.5" disk drive, the Mac will read a Prodos formatted
disk. You will need to have PC Exchange to do it though. The Mac
will then simply mount the disk and you can open it like normal.
I believe Clarisworks has a convertor for Appleworks files. If it
is on 5.25" drives, it is much harder as you will have to transfer
the data via a null modem to the Mac or PC.
