Beige colored with no eject button are definitely Macintosh drives ONLY.

No part numbers or manufacturer? Do they have a button? They did
make third party Mac drives. I have one for a Mac and it does have a
button. If they are white with a eject button that is not in line with the
disk entry then it is a Unidisk 3.5. If it has a eject button and is next
to the disk entry, it is an Apple 3.5.

They did make 1.44 meg Mac floppy drives. Do you own a Mac to
test it on?

Yup. Auto eject feature is still employed but with a button to initiate
the sequence.
