AT - Attention
X3 - Enable Busy Tone Result Set
D - Dial
The command ATX3D would not dial the phone because it is missing
a number. According to the user guide it would cause the modem to
pick up the phone and you would get the dialtone. However, since
you don't have a phone service, it would open the modem for a
connection.
