You would need a 3.5" disk controller card to make one work.
I believe for an Apple 3.5" drive you would need a super disk
drive controller which are rare or a Unidisk 3.5" drive with a
"Apple 3.5" disk controller card" aka "Liron" card which
are a bit more common.
