Thanks for your attention again.

I contacted Seagate and you're right, it won't provide term_pwr. And
since the Apple High Speed card won't either, apparently this is an
unworkable duo. 

Unless,.....

I alter the SCSI card, which I'd prefer avoiding, or.........

The drive [ST32550WC] has an adapter [KEY Circuit 0299 - TRANS
INTERNATIONAL 880-0051 REV B00] with some jumper pins on it but I am
ignorant as to where I might find jumper info. But Seagate indicated
that this was a possible source of term_pwr. 

Anyone got any information on these adapter people ?
