I don't know how well a //c would respond since it expects a 65c02.
Maybe an unenhanced IIe would be a better choice for experimentation.
It's my understanding that the Zip and Rocket chips have built-in cache
RAM, as well as the ability to switch back to 1MHz for programs which
expect that rate, so this would be an issue. (Although playing Dig Dug
at 10MHz might be interesting.)

There is a 10MHz Rocket Chip.
