Here is an update. I plugged the card into slot 7, and turned the drive on.
The "ready" light flashed for a few seconds, and the finally it stayed red
(light on.) Next, I turned the computer on, and it attempted to access the
drive but then jumped to the floppy drive (slot 6.)
My question is; is this "ready" light supposed to stay on, or should it turn
off (like a PC HD light) after it initializes? In the past, when I've worked
with old MFM and RLL drives, the light usually turns off until you attempt
to read it unless there is something wrong with the drive. If the light
stays on, the drive is messed up. Is that the case with a ProFile drive, or
is the "ready" light more like a steady power light. In other words, if the
light is red, it means the that the drive is ready?
