Funny you should mention; I just called a buddy who bought a Performa 600CD
brand new off the shelf way back in July, 1993 (still going strong). This
was the IIvx look-alike with a 32 MHz 68030 (no FPU like the vx) and
Performa bundle. It's bone stock to this day; he's never done anything
except use it.
His "About this Macintosh" dialogue box states: System 7.1P2. It does have
PC Exchange and all the other extensions mentioned previously in this
thread. Notice the P in 7.1P2. So it looks like Apple did release a version
for 68K machines for their Performa line, but it was certainly pre 1994.
I just checked my IIsi and my IIci; both running 7.1.2 but neither has the
P version.
One more note: Seems the Performa 600 was the first Macintosh to be
released with a built in CD ROM, thus it would have to have at least ISO
9660 and High Sierra capability.
