Then we for sure have a reading problem if not more. I'd try cleaning
the head one more time and trying it again.
If that doesn't work and you have a platinum 5.25" drive, you could
try hooking the mechanism up to the Duodisks analog card. You should
be able to do that without having to swap in the drive.
