DuoDisk and IIgs

I found an article in the comp.sys.apple2 FAQ's about modifying the
DuoDisk to work with the IIgs. The analog boards in both of my DuoDisks
are marked 676-0107-B. The instructions for performing the modification on
a 676-[]107 board say to cut out resistor R39, located at position A1.
Resistor R39 in both of my DuoDisks is located at position C3. Can anybody
help clear this up for me? I don't want to take out the wrong resistor.
