Hey gang,
Okay, as many of you know, I am trying to get my IIgs to talk to my Win2K
machine (which is running AppleTalk services) by bridging across an SE/30.
The SE/30 is running MacOS 7.1, is LocalTalk'd to the IIgs and plays fine
with it. The SE/30 EtherTalks to the Win2K machine, and plays fine with it.
The only strangeness about the SE/30 <--> Win2K connection is that when I
share a volume with "macfile" on Win2K and define the share as allowing
guests, I don't get a guest option on the SE/30 login screen (the Guest
option is there, but it's disabled).
Now, on the IIgs, in the AppleShare control panel, ONCE I had my Win2K
machine show up, but never since. When I selected it, I got some message
about login incompatibility (to be expected, since it wouldn't let me log in
as a guest), and ever since I cannot get the Win2K machine to even show up
on the IIgs.
Can anybody give me any suggestions? Perhaps I should upgrade MacOS on the
SE/30?
Thanks folks!
Tim
