AppleWorks 5.1 and Rom 01 problem

I received this message in e-mail and I was wondering if anyone here could
help. Since I have never used a ROM 01, I have no answer for this user. Perhaps
someone here can help.

I stopped using a IIGS (ROM 1) in 1997 and started using another one I had, a
ROM 3.  Recently the ROM 3 crashed, and I started again using the ROM 1.  I
restored all my data files to the hard drive, and restored only my Appleworks
program using Prosel 16.  The reason I restored the program itself is that
there were some changes I made for Y2K and wanted to make sure it was
compliant.

AW 5.1 has been crashing like crazy since I started using the ROM 1 again.  I
can't figure it out.  I feel like I'm walking on eggs everytime I boot it up,
and have rarely had problems with it over my many years using it.

I know this is sketchy info, but is there anything you'd recommend.  I run my
business with it and now am worried every day.
