--> IIRC - EDD had a `tool' that would display the drive speed
and allow one to adjust the speed on the Duodisk drives
until they were back in `spec'. It may have been a different
software package, but my memory is seeing it as EDD. Whatever
the case - such a software tool did exist - I used it myself
many, many moons ago. If it's the speed - this can be adjusted.
Whether enough to bring it back into `spec' and for how long;
is another matter . . .
