At one time I had 3 of the 24 pin Imagewriters LQs and a cut sheet feeder. This puppy weighs in at about 40 pounds. You could have the paper with tractor feed come in three different ways. It can print on 14" x17" pages which is really neat.
As much as I like the HP deskjet the IWLQ sometimes prints True Type fonts a little differently. They are truer. I used PMP fax for a while. You couldn't read the printing the 9 pin printer produced, but you could on the LQ. My husband watched the LQ printing one time and commented it was like watching grass grow. At least the 9 pin printer was fast.
