You should be able to use an ordinary composite-video cable (RCA-to-RCA,
same one that hooks your computer into a green-screen) to hook the computer
into a video-in jack on a VCR.  Fire up the TV, the VCR, and the computer,
go to BASIC, switch to one of the graphics modes, and create some simple
color graphics...something like this:

HGR:FOR C=0 TO 7:HCOLOR=C:FOR I=0 TO 15:HPLOT 0,C*16+I TO 279,C*16+I:NEXT I,C

would do the trick.  If you get a color display, it matches whatever system
(probably PAL in your case) that your video equipment uses.
