<Network questions removed>
Your question and some of the replies have got me thinking... If it is
not answered by the FAQ (which I haven't looked at for years) then
perhaps is should. Networking seems to be the trend for the decade.
Perhaps the people here can come up with a series of solutions and step
by step instructions on how to network the various machines to a LAN.
I would suggest some of the following areas should be included. I'm not
an expert so there are probably areas I've missed.
1) Minimum requirements.
2) 8 vs. 16 bit Apples.
3) Terminal vs. smart connection.
4) Server types.
5) Network connections (eg. ethernet or appletalk).
6) Transport protocals (eg. tcp/ip, ipx, or appletalk).
7) Connecting to the internet through a LAN.
Individuals have had this information for a while. Some of it has even
been posted here. Perhaps it's just a matter of collecting and
organizing it.
