Lowest cost, especially if you have more than one IIgs era computer is 
to run localtalk/Phonenet and a ethernet bridge, such as a Fastpath 4. 
With the bridge you are limited to 230k/sec localtalk, but would have 
all the connectivity options of AppleTalk and even TCP/IP.
