A friend wants my help copying FredWriter files (on 5.25" floppies) from his
Apple IIc to his 800MHz Pentium PC.
I'm a Mac guy, and I think the easiest way is to attach one of my old 3.5"
floppy drives to the IIc and copy the files to a 3.5" disk. I have a Mac
that can read ProDos-formatted floppies; I can then email the files to him.
It's been such a long time since I've used an Apple II, though, that I don't
remember how to do this. Can anyone spell out to me *exactly* how to format
a 3.5" floppy on an Apple IIc, and then how to copy files to it? (I'm also
assuming that FredWriter uses text files or can output a file as text, right?)
