Since when do customs care about your ideas when you cross a border?

You've had it for at least 10 years....

And we can't take 40 degree (C, not F) weather.... so I guess we're even...

By not insisting on camping out or going outside in a swimming suit,
but instead dress warmly, or stay inside. Yoiu can always put on
warm clothes when it's cold, but you caNOT take off your skin when it
gets too warm!
With sadness I realize that Floridians will never get to enjoy one of
the more beautiful aspects of the winter here: going skating in the
archipelago! You think the only way to travel on water is by boat --
not so here! In winter, when the waters are frozen, the long-range
skaters get active, and see the waters from a new perspective! With
some practice, a skater can get as fast as a decently fast boat, and
if there's some wind and he puts up a sail, he gets as fast as a
racing boat! Right now we're in the middle of the high season for
the long range skaters.
If I ever moved to Florida, I would sorely miss that !!!!
Remember that man is a quite adaptable animal. What some people consider
"unbearable weather" other people can consider wonderful weather!!!!
Another way to put it is: There is no bad weather, there are only
bad clothes.... and indeed if you go out in a swimming suite in
-40 deg F (which, interestingly, is the same temperature as -40 deg C!!)
then you will indeed feel uncomfortable. But so would we....
