ProTYPE runs on the Mac. Dropping files on it sets the file type.

But if you really want to set ANY file type (not just SYS's and TXT's), get
ProDOSifier from my web site.

You'll need MacOS 7.5 or later (unless the Mac is really old, it should have
something higher than this).

ProTYPE didn't work well for me. At least my program tells me what it's
going to change the file type to, and lets you change it when it isn't the
right one.
