ADT frustation

Okay, I'm sure most of you are getting tired of seeing the same
problem(s) over and over, but I'm following the directions and FAQ
right.

Okay, as you guess I'm using the ADT system :-), and I'm just stuck.
It's not working for me.

Okay, on my IIgs I put the Apple Super Serial Card in Slot #2, I set the
dips to
SW1: 0001111 SW2: 1101110
On the PC I'm using the my Com 2, which is a 9 pin male port.

I'm using a cable made by Belkin Components, and using HyperTerminal 6.1
PE.
HyperTerminal isn't giving me much on the way of ASCII file send
options. I just picked send text file.

I popped in my disk INIT with Dos 3.3, with a little Hello proggy on
it, entered the IN#2 command, and let the send file rip, and the
transfer doesn't happen. I mean I think I completed the step correctly.
But I have been working 70 plus hours, so I'm not sure. Would it have
to do with the fact I set "Your Card" as the SSC in the Control Panel?

Really if I'm just doing things backwards, I want to know so I can tell
my job the are causing me to do just stupid things from all the work I'm
doing. Thank you.
