That's right! I forgot that the internal 5.25 disk drive must be counted
in the 4-device IIc smartport limit.
I didn't leave the third UniDisk attached since I didn't like what had
happened. And it wouldn't be of much use anyway. I was just curious. Of
course curiousity killed the cat too--or if pushed further perhaps the
power supply.
