How to damage a floppy?

I keep running into publications and messages saying: keep floppies
away from magnets, monitors, speakers, power supplies etc. Now I've
tried my best to erase a floppy. I stuck one to the fridge with a magnet

for two years and a box of floppies has sat on top of a speaker for I
don't
know how many years. The only way I've actually been able to erase a
disk is with a Graphic tablet or a disk drive. So I'm wondering, has
anyone ever erased software in a way they attribute to any of these
things we keep getting cautioned against.
