Don't listen to the wife. If she has advice or opinions on your financial
matters, heed her word. If she wants to make a suggestion about your career,
or even your family, listen to her. But when it comes to computers, they
can't understand. My own girlfriend thinks she is pulling a coup, by
persuading me to fix the shed up, and use it instead of the spare bedroom...
but the jokes on her. Until then, even I knew that one of the fridge-sized
SGIs or Suns were impossible... but not any more. *grin*
Oh, another thing. I wasn't trying to start a contest or anything. It's just
that sometimes the only way I learn about unusual hardware, or even the
existence of it, is when I happen upon a "i have this stuff" webpage. Once I
have a name, I can usually learn more, but until then I'll be totally
ignorant of it.
Hmm... I'll get back to you on a purpose for the 8 II+s. If I can get the
damn ethernet card done, and get the price down really low... maybe you
could have the world's strangest web server farm. I dunno.
Thanks,
John
