That is rather how I felt when I got my ROMdisk card working in my //e.
Turn the power on and by the time the monitor warmed up, my ProSel startup
screen was waiting for me. No fan noise, no disks spinning. Perfection.

In my office I also have a //e with Workstation card and it boots quietly
from a Macintosh sitting next to it. I still find the Disk ][ recalibration
noise disturbing on those rare occasions that I boot from one (although on
my MPF-III //e clone I have one drive with a track 0 sensor and it does not
bang its head at boot time).
