Re: Problem with Apple IIc



I have owned several 2c systems and I have not seen this particular
problem. However, it sounds like a chip or circuit is overheating.
This could be in the drive or on the motherboard but I would suspect
the motherboard is the likely culprit as much of the controlling
hardware is there.

Some things to check. Make sure the vents on the top and bottom are
not blocked. While the system is running check for excessive heat
from both the top and bottom and around the drive.

I suggest getting another 2c if you can find it for parts. Try to
replace the drive first then the motherboard or simply use the other
replacement system.
