Someone has built an IDE interface and a ROM disk there.  (I think these 
are fully Apple II specific.)  But I would also be interested in direct 
info on what needs to be on a card to decode the proper signals from the 
'816 and where it gets mapped into RAM at, etc.  Thanks.
