You could check out a site that I'm involved with.
http://aIIethernet.tripod.com/ I haven't had much time to update it like I
should, but the gist of things is that we've got the total cost of parts
down ~$55, by arranging a group purchase. We've got a pretty solid design,
suppliers for all the parts, and prelim circuit board layouts. Two catches,
first... you have to solder it yourself. Some delicate soldering, but most
of it will be through-hole sockets, very little chance of damaging the
expensive chips. Second, we're unlikely to have any software for it
immediately, or if we do, will be very basic. Of course, it's not exactly a
GS-only card, but I thought you still might be interested..
