A .BSQ file is a ShrinkIt file (SHK) that has been encoded to text
using a format called BINscii. This format is very similar to
UUEncoding or Base64 (used in MIME messages).
There are a number of programs that can decode this format for you on
an Apple II. For 8 bit Apple IIs, there is:
BINSCII
BSCIT
For the Apple IIgs, there is:
GScii+ NDA
StolenBase NDA
Spectrum (using the BinHQX XCMD which isn't with all versions)
There are probably others but these are the ones that came immediately
to mind.
Once you decode the BINscii file, you can run SHRINKIT or GSHK to
unpack the resulting SHK file.
