Hi Jeff,
Most certainly I'll be making all of Glen Bredon's original gif and jpg
photo files available.  But, it will most likely take me the rest of the year
to do.  Glen's collection spans about 50 years and consist of about 20 CD's
(haven't had the time to do an accurate count yet :)). 

I do have a question and I'd like some feedback on about this.  All of Glen's
digital photo files are in the (rather bloated and very large - about 8 to 27
MB's each) Photoshop v5.0 file format.  It seems to me that using a deduced
compression format with them - like converting them to gif and jpeg files using
a program like the Mac PPC Debabelizer, could vastly reduce the size of the
files without any noticeable loss in viewing quality.

Does that sound like a reasonable thing to do with them for online viewing?  I
conclude the main reason they were saved in the Photoshop format seems to be so
Glen could print them out on his printer with virtual photographic quality. 
There's really no need to keep them as such
for online viewing and downloads is there???

As they are all public domain now, I'd be happy to make copies of the original
CD collection for anybody that wants to distribute the CD's to the general
public.  But, I have neither the time or desire to do such.
So, anybody that wants this option - please send me an email and we can make
arrangements to get the CD collection copied for such.

Well, I can certainly understand your desire on that.  They are all really 
astounding photographic works and the 'SlideShow' program for the PPC, 
Glen just made this year with Real Basic is perfect for fast or timed viewing. 
It was a freeware (don't know if he ever released it to the public or not) -
but, as a public domain program now, I'd suspect it could be ported to the PC
platform without much effort.  I have the Real Basic 
src. codes for it that Glen printed out on paper (if those would be of any
value to do a PC port) but, haven't been able to locate them on his HD yet.
I have a stack of 100MB zip disks they may be on.  ut, have not check them all
for content yet either.  Anyway...so much for the 'SlideShow' program!   I'll
archive it soon and put it in the (now empty) 'MacPPC.software' folder in the
next day or two.

Glen Bredon was (as we all know) a fantastic programmer and his talent for
taking nature and wildlife pictures was really astounding also.  Just take a
look as the conversions I've already put in the 'Glen Bredon In Memoriam'
folder for a small sample of what the collection consist of or you can visit
his web site.  

I'd imagine his wife Anne intends to keep it online for some time.  If not, I
do have it all copied and I'll ask her if I can put it in his folder on my own
web site and/or if others can do the same - when I return Glen's G3 and the
original CD's of his photo collection to her at the end of this month.
