Guys,
    The first accurate total, very preliminary mind you, is US $55.23. I
should be able to bring a few of the component prices down just a bit, but
these likely won't affect the price significantly. The only component likely
to change to any radical degree is the circuit board itself, quoted at
$14.91 from www.expresspcb.com . I think this is just a bit high, but need
to do more research to be sure. I am still completely confident that the
final price can be brought under $50. Expect a prototype board within a
month.
