Well, tell me how to go about doing this without 'ruining' things for SSH.
This is not a project that is possible to do with less than 20 people. We
don't need that many to design it necessarily, or to write software for it.
We just need that many to commit to buying a kit. Fortunately for us, we've
already reached that level. But the more people committed, the better for
all. Including you, whether you appreciate it or not. You see, after the
initial setup from the pcb maker, all subsequent boards are much cheaper. It
will be a matter of calling them up, and ordering another run. If you want
to help, just say "I definitely want one" or even "I want one, but only if
you get the price below xxx". If you don't want one, then why do you even
care? When this is all over, I will have shown that you that you no longer
have to rely on companies that only see the bottom line. Why you don't like
that, I'm still trying to figure out.
