I just imagined myself as a customer with a slight complaint or other.
It boggles the mind, as Pinky is wont to say. Your aggressiveness
truly is singular. I won't even bother to quote all your other
expletives. Why, thank you for showing us your, shall I say, less
savoury side.

Re the cost calculation, I think you underestimate the price of the
board. Severely. In the areas of the size that you will need, and the
cost for gold-plating, rivets and "stuff". I might be wrong, of
course, but I do have a nagging feeling you are miscalculating here.

That aside, sure such a card can be sold under the price that Joachim
is selling at. Not $50, but cost will be lower than what he charges.
So, er, whee, he spends a large amount of time building, and revising,
and debugging, and testing, and stuff, and it finally works. And he
insists on making a small profit (though I am sure the margin is nice,
as it may be when you sell small quantities), so that he stays
interested in doing hardware. It's evil, capitalist morals, that's
what it is. If he sells 100 of these, he may even be able to afford a
vacation (or two) from the profits. Egad! Yeah. Ah. Whatever.

As for the "I can write any network app in a night": Thank you. You
save me the trouble of pointing out where this endeavour seems a
balloon of hot air.

Do not misunderstand me: If you do pull this off, and it works, and so
on, I'll be among the first to applaude. The more hardware and
software, the merrier. But the way you have attacked existing product
so far ("at least we can learn from their errors"), and have attacked
anyone who is even slightly critical, does not make doing business
with you an inviting prospect.

Not to mention that we _are_ still talking "in development, smelling
highly of vapor".

There is a lady on a.l.f. that has a habit of clobbering people like
you with a "clue-by-four". I feel highly motivated to get toony here
and pull a clue-by-four out of my trousers.

Shawn

(P.S.: For those of you who wonder about the silly nickname and stuff
... I use my newsreader mainly for furry-related activities, that's
why :) Some may still know me as "Snke Behrens", I have since gotten
used to calling myself "Shawn Behrens".)
