Ah. They just develop for the a2 for the love of it, and accidentally tack
on a $100 fee for their effort. Of course it's for the bottom line, you
dolt. Else he wouldn't be selling it. Whether or not he is stupid, and
doesn't realize it will lose money, or he's shrewd and knows he can charge
whatever he wants because of enthusiast loyalty, it's the bottom line.
Exactly which, remains to be seen. If he does this PURELY out of love for
the a2, then either he doesn't know enough to find better bargains from
suppliers, or there is some mixup in the price that I have seen.

No matter what, I think you miss my point. I don't really care how
successful he is, but I won't begrduge him any sales either. My point is
that if there is enough interest, and people can learn to cooperate, other
projects like this could be successful. It might not be for everybody, but
if you just absolutely have to have something that isn't commercially
available, and you're willing to learn to use a soldering iron... Thing is,
though, there have to be more people than just you though. I'm sure there
are people who can do homemade pcb's better than I, but even they will run
into minimum quantities for components.
