Although I have never hacked up my LC 475 to run at 33MHz, one thing that
I can tell you is that a full 68040-25 processor WILL work in place of the
68LC040-25 with no problems whatsoever in this machine.
The advantage of course is that one can perform 3D rendering and such
other mathematically intensive floating point operations which one could
not do with the 68LC040 chip.
My question is this: Is there any software hack available which would
allow one to use the IIe card in an LC 475 which is running MacOS 8.1 (the
last version of the MacOS which does not require a PowerPC processor)?
MacOS 8.1 does not allow 32-bit addressing to be turned off, thus the IIe
card would presumably not function...
