Have been using Ultra Macros (occasionally) for years on the IIgs with
Awks 5 and never noticed that!

One thing about this macro ... it does assume that the beginning of each
entry in column two will not have a space inside the length of the Tab. For
example something like A. Ants could require two OA-lefts. (A workaround is to
set a Tab stop one character to the right of the start of column two.)

Yes; this idea works better. Once you see that the principle is to convert
the Text into stuff that gets separated into columns on a spreadsheet, it's
easy to come up with variations suited to a particular rearrangement task.
