Yes, they are ZIPs.

They may be pulls - the pins are not completely straint and they do
look a little used.  Don't really see any solder on them.  As
previously mentioned, some of the chips had missing pins upon
delivery.  poor quality control dept.

No, some of the chips look as if one side of pins are slightly shorter
than the other.  This makes it difficult to get the chips to insert
fully - 1 side goes in, other not so good.  Kinda have to force them
in and dork around.  Pain in the ass.

Maybe I will see the card on Ebay with the chips and let someone else
play with it.  $60 for the Sirrius board is worth the trouble of not
having to screw around.


Would it be feasable to remove the IC sockets on the RamGS and just
solder the ZIPs to the board?
