My response was really to the two messages combined. I was not
suggesting anything on your part. However, some people feel (and I do
use that word deliberately, rather than "think") that guns cause
violence, when some of the most peaceful people I know are well armed.

BTW, it is fun to shoot holes in stuff (I prefer laundry bottles filled
with water) but shooting a hole in a monitor could do some serious
damage to the environment. Also, using a discharging a firearm in most
cities is a crime, and can leave some unpleasant holes in your home.
